We are not aware of a separate official website for Broken Oath. If one appears, it should be linked from the Steam store page. A site that claims to be official but is not linked from Steam is not official.
How to spot an imposter
- It sells “beta keys”, “early access” or “founder packs”. There is no paid beta.
- It offers a download that is not Steam. The game is distributed through Steam.
- It uses the developer’s name but has no link from the Steam page.
- It promises a release date that the Steam page does not show.
- It asks for your Steam login. Valve will never ask through a fan site.
- It publishes a “leak” with no source. A screenshot with no provenance is not evidence.
What this site is
An independent, fan-made wiki. It is not affiliated with Crater Studios, Valve or the Dwarven Realms team. It does not host game files, sell keys, or accept payment for coverage. The full editorial policy is on the editorial standards page.
How to verify a claim
-
Open the Steam page
If the claim is about release, price, languages or requirements, the store page is the source of record.
-
Check the date
A page can be correct and out of date. Look for a checked date.
-
Follow the link
If a site cites a source, click it. If it cites “a Discord message” with no link, treat it as a rumour.
-
Ask the developer
The Steam community hub and the official Discord are the right places to ask. A fan site cannot confirm a release date.
Which Broken Oath?
There are at least three Steam games called Broken Oath and a 1977 film. This site covers the Crater Studios ARPG, app 5452900. The disambiguation page lists the others so you can check an app ID before trusting a guide.
